Favorites

The title bar of the Desktops window contains a favorites bar which you can use to launch commonly used documents or applications and quickly browse the contents of folders via a popup menu.

Files can be added and removed by dragging and dropping files, just like the Dock in the Finder. Options to toggle the bars visibility and change it's apperance (icon only, text only or icon and text) are available in the View menu.

Note: To remove folders from the favorites bar hold down the command key and drag off the bar. If the command key is not pressed while dragging the folder will open as a popup menu and not allow the item to be dragged.
